PANAMA
SC-12/ COIBA ISLAND, NATIONAL PARK. -
for 10 persons group.

Include:

- Transport for turists from Panama to Santiago and back.  Leaves from Panama City, 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. 

-Terrestrial transportation (Santiago-Mutis pier and back).  We leave Santiago at 5:00 a.m.  

-Aquatic transportation, (authorized by the Maritime Authority of Panama, lifesaving vests, transmitting radio, etc.)

-Entrance to the National Park Coiba and permissions. 

-Shared lodging in cement cabins for 10 people, with internal bathroom, water, light, single beds.  (The cabins are located in the scientific ANAM station).

-Tours to Coibita island, Rancheria beach, Granito de Oro island, central camp, path of the thermal wells, path of the monkeys. 

-Visit to the 2 lookouts for bird watching on the ANAM station.

-Beach games. 

-Snorkeling activity for a team of 5 people.

Itinerary: 

- We leave from Panama at 6:00 p.m., to arrive at Santiago around 9:00 p.m., the previous day of the tour.  

-Lodging in Hotel situated in the city of Santiago.  

- Departure from the Hotel at 4:00 a.m. of the first day of the tour.  We travel in a bus for 15 passengers.  Travel of 2 hours by the countryside of Santiago.

-First day: Panamanian style Breakfast (omelettes, puff pastries, eggs or liver or fried chicken at a house 10 min. from the beach.  

-Aquatic transportation in a 25 feet roofed boat, with outboard motor, (authorized by the Maritime Authority of Panama, lifesaving vests, transmitting radio) Departure from the Beach at 6:00 a.m.  

-Trip through sea, flanking the coast from 1:30 to 2:30 hours, depending on the condition of the sea.  Tax of entrance to Coiba National Park and right of anchorage.  

-Shared lodging in cement cabins.  

-After settling your luggage, you should prepare your equipment to visit the thermal wells.  The trip will take near half a day.  Lunch will be held by the sea, picnic style, chicken stew, sandwiches, beverages, fruits of the season. 

The second part of the trip, will be the visit to the Central Camp of prisoners of the island, where you can still find 3 or 4 prisoners of low danger, that carry out social work, along with the ecological police.  Visit to the old cells.

We return to the cabins in the afternoon and the night is free in the camp.  Panamanian style supper.

-Second day:  Breakfast in the camp, before leaving at mid morning toward the path of the monkeys, through the forest for an hour, with abundant information on the flora and fauna of the place. 

Then we sail from the beach, to visit the Gold Granite Island, to practice Snorkeling and to enjoy the reefs.  Snacks will be available during that time. 

Return to camp at 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. for lunch.
At sunset, we will walk through the paths that surround the scientific ANAM station

At night, supper and time for board games, before the videos of the history of Coiba.  If the projection equipment is available.

-Third day: getting up at 6:00 a.m., to enjoy dawn.  Breakfast, and prepare the gear to visit Coibita Island. 

Sail around and visit Rancheria beach, where the scientific station of the Institute of Tropical Investigations Smithsonian is located.  Time to practice snorkeling and to seek marine life. 

Near the half a day, returns to the camp to take the lunch and to prepare everything to leave around 12:00 m. 

Times of return, are the same as in the arrival in boat and transportation to Santiago.  All the itinerary is subject to climatic conditions, to carry out all the trips. 

 

Wear comfortable clothing, that cover the must possible your body.  Wear boots for hiking or sport shoes that cover all your foot.  Bring clothing for change at the end of the tour, repellent, hat and sun block.

  • If you are out side of Panamá and want to book, please pay 30 days or more, before the tour.
  • If you are a resident or you are here in Panamá, please pay your tour a week or more, before your tour.
  • If you tray to book with less time indicate here, we will try to serve you, but we can not guaranty the service.

Some ones of the tours need to have good weather to do the activities.
