The tour to the Panama, Bayano Lake Caves is an experience that touches the human spirit.
Discovering a natural place, of so huge and enormous beauty, is an experience that fills the senses with pleasure and it shows all together, how our passage through this world is ephemeral; making us remember that we must preserve with responsibility our world with all its natural wonders.
The Tour leaves at 7:00 a.m. from the city of Panama, course to Bayano Lake, important natural resource of Panama. After 1:45h of freeway ride, we arrive at the town of Cañita, where we take a Panamanian style breakfast, we board our boat, and cross the Bayano lake during 0:30min., until arriving to the entrance to the caves.

At the arrival to the caves, we equip ourselves to initiate this beautiful and impressive route, by a cannon, plenty of passages and enormous caverns, where we find a variety of small animals that inhabit this ecosystem without sunlight, crystalline water lagoons, enormous limestone rock formation, conformed through the centuries until finishing in a lagoon, where we will be able to take a small crystalline water bath. This route has an extension of approximately 1 kilometer.

Finalized our rest, we will return to the border of the lake, to be gathered by our boat and to return to the small port on the bridge at the Bayano lake, where we will approach our transport, drive back to Cañita to take a delicious lunch, before starting off our return for the city of Panama.
In this tour is possible to see different species of birds like Neotropic Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, Great Egret, Black Vulture, Osprey, Broad-winged Hawk, Ringed Kingfisher, Tucans, Great Kiskadee, Crested Caracara; Mammals like Mantled Howler Monkey, Neotropical River Otter, Three-toed Sloth, Norther Tamandua, Short-tailed Fruit Bat; Reptiles like Green Iguana, Brown Vine Snake, Tiger Ratsnake, Fer-de-Lance; many amphibians and butterflies
All the route, lasts between 7 to 9 hours, depending on the quantity of people that conform the group.

Wear comfortable clothing, that cover the must possible your body. Wear boots for hiking or sport shoes that cover all your foot. Bring clothing for change at the end of the tour, repellent, hat and sun block.
