KAYAK TOUR AT SOBERANÍA NATIONAL PARK

The important Chagres River, pass through an important biodiversity reserve in Panama Republic. This park is named Soberanía National Park in memory of the Panama Nation fight to get access of the Panama Canal territory.
We invite you to enjoy a kayak tour in the beauty Chagres River, surround by the wild jungle of the rain forest. We will to enjoy the historic relates of Panama, for our guide, how will tell us the important events that happened in Panama through the centuries, times that Chagres River was and it is a piece extremely important of the commerce and development of this country through the oceans.
The tour begin at 7 a.m., when our transport will pick up you in the hotel. We will travel about 1 hour and 30 minutes until Madden Dam, that made the Alajuela Lake, after this visit, we continue until Chagres Bridge. In this point we send our kayak in the water and begin the paddling part of the tour. We will paddling about 4 or 5 hours, with regular stops in the way, to rest or eat or only to watch an interesting thing.
When we arrive at Gamboa area, we will make an stop at Venta de Cruces, an old Spaniard town. This place is historically important, because was a town used to transfer the merchandise to the boat, from the mules or from the boat to the mules. Ended the visit, we will continue paddling the last part until the Gamboa public pier, where our transport will be waiting for us, to move us to the hotel.
Time 5 to 6 hours.

Wear comfortable clothing, that cover the must possible your body. Wear boots for hiking or sport shoes that cover all your foot. Bring clothing for change at the end of the tour, repellent, hat and sun block.
